Alerts and your Shopify admin
Connect Quay's Telegram alerts
In Quay, open Settings, click Connect Telegram under Telegram alerts and add the bot to your Telegram group to hear about orders that get past a block.
Quay is a Shopify app that enforces per-company credit limits and late-payment rules at B2B checkout for wholesale merchants.
Works on: any Shopify plan with B2B · About 2 minutes · Matches Quay as of November 2026
Quay sends an alert when a company it blocks still gets an order. Quay blocks a company’s orders in three cases: an order would take it over its limit on a Block new orders policy, it has reached the block day under Block new orders for unpaid invoices, or it is set to Force block new orders. An over-limit order paid when it is placed uses no credit, so it raises no alert; the other two cases raise one either way. Such an order usually comes from your staff, as a draft order in Shopify admin or a POS sale. A company your Quay plan doesn’t cover never triggers an alert.
- In Quay, open Settings and find Telegram alerts.
- Click Connect Telegram. Quay shows a code for your store, built into each of the three ways below.
- Connect your group in one of three ways:
- Click Open Telegram and pick a group, then choose the group in Telegram.
- Scan the QR code with your phone.
- Add the bot named on the screen to your group yourself, and send the
/linkcommand shown under the QR code.
The code works for 15 minutes. If it runs out, reload Settings and click Connect Telegram again for a new one; the old code stops working. The bot only acts on the connect command. It doesn’t read, store or use anything else posted in your group.
To stop the alerts, click Disconnect under Telegram alerts.
What happens next
Once the group is connected, Telegram alerts in Settings says where alerts go and offers Disconnect. The group gets a message each time a company Quay blocks still gets an order, for example a draft order your staff create in Shopify admin. An over-limit order paid when it is placed uses no credit, so it raises no alert.
