The Dashboard now shows what to expect this week
The old Dashboard told you what was owed and what fell due in the next seven days. It did not say what would probably arrive. Now the This week card at the top shows that, with one list of what needs your decision.
What would probably be paid this week. The new This week card shows a range, for example “$164,000 to $189,000”, under Still expected this week. Quay works it out from how late each company has paid before, so a company that usually pays a week after the due date is expected a week after. Under the range, a line says what its two ends are, the next gives what falls due this week by payment terms and what has been paid since Monday, and a table gives a range for this week and each of the next three. How the range is worked out says what it counts and what it leaves out.
What it leaves out, in plain sight. Orders Quay can’t put in a week are listed under the table: orders not shipped yet, orders without payment terms and orders in another currency. A note names the money from companies paying later than they usually do, how much of the overdue total it is and how many companies owe it. That money is still owed. It is only missing from the range.
One list of what needs your decision. Under the range, Needs your decision gathers companies over the credit limit and orders to check from the old Needs attention card, and suggestions ready from Credit protection. The row for companies with overdue invoices is gone: the companies link under the overdue figure in AR aging opens the full list. Two rows are new. Got through shows an order that went through although its company was blocked, in the last 7 days, with a button to open it in Shopify. The other is a single row for all late companies with no policy and no hold. It counts the companies whose unpaid orders are more overdue than usual and says how much they owe overdue. Choose policies opens Suggestions with just those companies. Suggestions ready now count every company with a suggestion, by how it pays. When nothing needs you, the list says so.
Things that moved. Total AR and Overdue now sit at the top of AR aging, with the overdue share and the number of companies behind it, for example “10.0% of AR · 6 companies”. Click “6 companies” to open the overdue ones. Credit protection now sits right under This week. When no company is protected yet, it says so with an empty bar. It counts a company you set to Force pay-on-order or Force block new orders as protected, even without a policy, and its two setup rows became one, Companies not set up yet, with a Set up button. Due in next 7 days is gone: the line under the range shows what falls due this week, Monday to Sunday, in its place.
One thing to know. The range is an estimate from past payments, and each company is expected to pay the way it has paid before, or the way your store’s companies usually pay when it has paid fewer than 5 orders. Until Quay has read your companies once after this update, the line under the table says “Quay hasn’t checked how your companies pay yet, so these figures follow due dates.” Until then, overdue orders sit in the Not counted line as “already overdue”.
What stays the same. Your credit limits, policies and checkout rules are untouched, and there is nothing to switch on. The range counts your store’s currency only, and the AR aging figures still add currencies together, with a line saying so. The rest of the Dashboard is explained in Read the AR aging dashboard.
