New: aging and outstanding-orders reports as PDF and CSV

The AR aging dashboard tells you who is late, right now. It is a screen, not a document: when your accountant asks for the aging at the end of the month, or a partner asks who owes you what, there was nothing to hand over but a screenshot.

Now there is. Reports is a new item in Quay’s navigation, with two reports you can print or download.

Aging summary by company. One row per company, the five buckets across: current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90 and 90+ days. Each bucket shows the amount and how many orders sit in it, so a company with $7,800 from one order reads differently from one with the same amount over nine.

Outstanding orders by company. Every open order, grouped under its company with a subtotal: the detail behind the summary, for the conversation about one order.

Both take a date. The same Balance on a date control as a statement: Today, End of last month, or a custom date since your first B2B order. A report for the 31st, printed on the 3rd, shows what was open on the 31st.

Both are on screen the moment you open them, and come three ways from there: Print; Download PDF, which lays the table out on a landscape page; and Download CSV for your own spreadsheet.

A few things that haven’t changed:

To start: open Reports, pick a report and a date. There is nothing to switch on.

The per-company statement that shipped alongside is in branded statements for any date or period. How to read an aging report, and what to do about the accounts in the far buckets, is in accounts receivable for Shopify wholesale; what a buyer’s statement of account has to show is in B2B account statements on Shopify.
