Fixed: imported orders marked Paid that still show a balance
Quay no longer counts an order as debt when Shopify marks it Paid, Partially refunded or Refunded but its payments don’t add up. This mostly happens with order history imported from another platform. Quay used to count the difference, so a company could show as overdue, or be blocked at checkout, for an order settled long ago.
These orders wait on a new page, Orders to check, until you decide. Until then they don’t count toward credit limits or overdue rules, and buyers don’t see them as owed. Open it from the Orders to check row under Needs attention on your Quay dashboard, or from the “Not counted” line on a company’s page.
Small differences clear together. Orders off by less than 1.00 in their currency, with at least one payment recorded, are selected as a group: one Treat as paid clears them all. Every other order is listed with a link to it in Shopify, and you choose Treat as paid or Count as owed. Before you count orders as owed, Quay shows what changes at checkout for each company.
You can undo a decision on the Decided tab. If an order you treated as paid later gets a payment, a refund or an edit in Shopify, Quay counts what Shopify shows again, or lists the order again if it still doesn’t add up.
What stays the same:
- Nothing changes in Shopify.
- Orders we cleared for you on request before stay cleared. They are on the Decided tab.
- There is nothing to switch on.
How Quay reads overdue orders is in accounts receivable for Shopify wholesale.
