New: a Finance and payments page for your buyers
The questions wholesale buyers ask most are the simplest ones: what do we owe, when is it due, how much more can we order? Until now, the answer lived in your inbox.
Now it can live in their account. Once you add it, every B2B buyer has a Finance and payments page in their Shopify customer account:
- Payment summary — the next due date, the amount due by then, and the company’s total outstanding balance.
- Credit summary — the company’s credit limit, how much is available, and how much is used.
- A plain notice when something’s wrong — if the company is over its limit or on hold, the page says so and explains what to do, instead of leaving the buyer to find out at checkout.
The numbers are company-level totals: a buyer sees where the company stands, never a colleague’s individual orders. A buyer can still see their own orders in the Orders section. And a retail customer who opens the page just sees a short note that it’s for business accounts.
Setup takes one visit to the customer account editor: Settings → Customer accounts → Customize, add the page Finance and payments, say yes when it offers to add a menu link, and save. The same steps are on your Quay dashboard, and the full guide walks through what buyers see in every state.
Credit figures are shown by default. If you’d rather buyers see only their payment status, turn off Show credit figures to buyers in Quay’s settings — the page stays, the credit numbers go.
One small rename alongside this: the notice block on the orders page is now called Account alert in the editor. It works exactly as before — nothing to redo.
